Guide
Public X videos only
GrabGrab can save a video when anyone can open the post without logging in. Protected accounts, communities that require a login, and deleted posts are out of reach. There is no password field.
Step 1
Check that the post is public
Open it in a private browser window. If X asks you to log in before the video plays, GrabGrab cannot download it.
Step 2
Copy that public link
Copy the status URL from the public page. Do not send a password or a login cookie.
Step 3
Paste it here
If the post is protected, the download fails. That result is expected, and retrying will not unlock it.
Questions
Can you download private or protected videos?
No. Only public posts. GrabGrab does not log in and does not accept an X password.
What about someone else’s protected account?
Still no. If you cannot open the video while logged out, GrabGrab cannot open it either.
